This 1970 Chevelle SS sports a Big Block LS6 454 motor which was rated at 450 hp and over 500 pound feet of torque. This monster 454 cubic-inch engine was one of the most powerful motors ever put into a muscle car during the pony car hey day. Back in 1970 this provided blistering performance allowing the SS to reach 60 mph in less than 6 seconds and reaching the quarter mile in 13.5 seconds.
This example looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Our customer brought the vehicle in to Curry’s to have the engine completely rebuilt and freshened up. In addition we installed an upgraded Ratech Deluxe Ring and Pinion Kit, 3.42:1 Ratio Richmond Gear Ring and Pinion Sets, and a new limited slip differential all from Summit Racing. The last items added were a new MSD ignition system, AutoMeter tachometer with shift light, water temperature and oil temperature gauges to complete the package.
This car literally looks like the ones you see in the General Motors Museums. It’s looks that NEW !
