Dulles

Jon Kofod is our General Manager at our Dulles store and has a degree in European History and an advanced degree in Economics from George Mason University.  Jon worked in the finance industry for 15years and had been one of our best customers – before joining the Curry’s family in February of 2005.  He has owned an assortment of high performance and exotic cars including a Ferrari and Porsche.  As an avid enthusiast, Jon’s raced karts, Formula cars, and even campaigned a Ferrari F355 Challenge car – needless to say he is more than qualified to answer all your performance upgrade questions.  You can also check out all of Jon's racing activities at www.flatoutracing.net

Chris Koethe Manager

Dan Howell and began his Curry’s career when Matt opened the Dulles store in 2001.  Prior to this, he was the shop foreman at a Lexus dealer for three years and a Lexus Elite Technician for five years (one of the top 10% in the country).  Dan served in a variety of positions at Curry’s as a technician, shop foreman, and now as store manager. Dan is also a factory trained BMW technician as well as being factory trained on Acura (particularly NSX), Honda and, of course, Lexus. He is the lead dyno technician and tuner on German, Asian, and domestic automobiles and is a certified Virginia State Inspector. His current pride is a 2005 WRX STi. When not working, Dan enjoys coaching his sons in Little League Baseball or Football.  

Steve Sobonya is one of our top domestic technicians at Dulles and brings with him 24 years experience as an ASE certified master mechanic with an automotive degree from the Vale Technical Institute in 1982. Steve has been with Curry’s since 2003 and specializes in domestic SUV's and trucks. In addition, Steve also works on many of our German brands such as Audi, BMW's, and Mercedes and is a certified emissions repair technician. Steve is a national champion go-karter with many championships and wins to his credit. In addition to go-karting Steve is an avid snow boarder and was Curry’s Technician of the Year in 2005.

John Joran has been with Curry's since 2005 and has rapidly become one of our best European technicians. John’s background began with domestic vehicles but with over 25 years of experience as an ASE master technician he has worked on virtually every domestic, Asian or European car at one time or another. In addition to his ASE certifications, John is also a CRT certified emissions mechanic. In his time off, John enjoys both working on and riding one of his motorcycles:  a Honda CBR1000, Harley Davidson Dyna or one of several motocross bikes.  He also received Curry’s Technician of the Year Award in 2005.

Trevor Bell has been with Curry's since 2004 and has been doing general service repairs on import and domestic automobiles for nearly 10 years. Trevor is one of our wheel/tire experts and can even assist in minor maintenance and repair work. Trevor is ASE certified in refrigerant (a/c) recovery and recycling. When Trevor is not hard at work at Curry's he plays bass in the local rock/reggae band "Colouring Lesson."

Andrew Moore joined Curry’s in fall of 2005 as a general service technician. Andrew performs oil changes and is one of three mounting and balancing techs we have dedicated to meet our customer demands for tires. He can perform all your basic tire needs from 20 inch wheels for your SUV to mounting race tires for your next race or track weekend.  Andrew is also one of our legion of Honda fans and drives a 2004 Honda Civic Si hatchback.
